Mission planning and data collection
The historical materials document planning with DroneLink, Google Earth, AirData, Windy, AirNav and aviation weather sources. The project includes a mapping plan using a downward-facing camera, 80% front and side image overlap, and a planned 50-foot image acquisition altitude.
A DroneLink project screenshot documents 655 planned or collected photos of the carport area. The archived project materials also include airspace authorization and safety considerations specific to the December 2023 activity.
Presentation and analysis
The work describes preparing a visual record of the carport, organizing image data, and producing a 3D / mapping presentation to communicate the project. The embedded videos above are part of the original capstone presentation.
This is a historical academic case study. Flight parameters and authorizations are not current operational instructions.
